Football - World Cup - I can't resist!

First of all let's say THANK YOU for people who had the crazy idea of coming here.
Gracias Vandi, Caro, como se les ocurre seguir mirando mi blog, pensé que todos
ya habían desistido de mirar acá, pero hasta Melissa, una amiga que había perdido el contacto, me reencontró a traves de este blog hace dos días. Divina, me mandó mail... por eso y otras cosas que sigo teniendo este espacio, aunque sólo escribo cuando me da la gana y en el idioma que toque :oP Gracias... TOTALES!

Now, back to English because that's the language I wrote my opinions in Orkut about football and so I want to express them here.

First of all I am feeling extremely IRRITATED with the arrogant Brazilians who are behaving like our country already won. I LOVE Brasil, I DO think our team is one of the best (or the best), but I never say we WILL win. I am not a psychic to say so! What I usually say is, we have everything to win, we CAN do it and I hope we do.

Second, the advertisements here against Argentina. I'm fed up with this stupid rivalry which grows loads when it's World Cup time. People have have been brain washed for YEARS to hate Argentina and it worked. Constantly I hear things such as: "Valeska you're so cool, I wonder how can you get on so well with those argentinians!" - OR: "Valeska you are this and this and that (compliments) BUT since you can't be perfect... I say your bad thing is that love you have for Argentina and their people".

GO TO HELL!!!! Pisses me off. Same in Spain (atención España porque hacen lo mismo y PEOR porque refiriéndose a gente de su propio país) when I say most of my friends are from Catalunya they say "catalanes son cerrados, catalanes son esto y el otro y no sé como te llevás bien con ellos, que los andaluces son más divertidos, blah blah..." May you know I actually DON'T LIKE people from Andalucia a lot. Most of the "friends" I made there turned out to be false people. Lots of disappointments. So open and friendly, yes, but superficial too. The friends who lasted are the ones from Barcelona.

Well but wait: THIS IS ABOUT THE WORLD CUP IN GERMANY!

It is a very beautiful party. I never felt sooo interested in visiting Germany because I have Italy nowadays as a priority. But now, seeing the cities, so many cultural options, awesome landscapes... and how organised they are... I'm changing my mind!

Although Germany sucked in their first match, hhohohohoh... yes, keep playing this way and I don't see how you will go to the final...

To sleep: watch Sweden. They are perfect for that, I was actually watching them against Trinidad & Tobago and I felt asleep. Ok, it was my siesta time but if it had been interesting I think I could have resisted.

And now, for England, in which match I had personal interest for obvious reasons :oDDD

I was expecting much more from England, they played well in the first half, because of a goal THEY actually didn't score (TV's used even computer softwares to show that the ball wouldn't have entered if it wasn't for the unlucky head of Gamarra).

Then, when I think on the second half they are going to fight for a better result, they just play like if they were winning like 5-0? This is MEDIOCRE. I don't blame the English, because they have to obbey that awful Swedish man. I don't like him at all and think English have many competent guys who could be coaching your team!

Taking Michael Owen at 10 minutes of the second half, if he wasn't injured or complaining... for what?? if he wasn't doing a lot, things got worse after he left. Actually the only one I saw trying to score was, what's his name.... LAMPARD??? And for this spirit, I would say I liked him in the match. But if you keep playing this way I honestly don't see how you can win the World Cup!

Finally, USA..... OH DEAR!!!
Huahuahuahuahahahaa MY GOD what was that match today?? I wonder, if football (or soccer as they say) it not popular at all in the United States, why they bother to go and play a World Cup? They should get off and leave the place for a more worthy team. That match was ridiculous, effortless and a total lack of respect to such a big competition. PISSES ME OFF! (and makes me laugh even more at them!)

Other thing that pisses me is this bad habit in England of calling them "America" as they themselves do, thinking they are the centre of the world.
America is ALL OF US, Brasil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, etc.
(but this, stays for next chapter, the day I feel like talking about it.)

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: BRASIL!!!! U-HU!!! LET'S HOPE WE PLAY WELL, I'M
SO ANXIOUS I ALMOST CAN'T SLEEP. GOOD SIGNALS ARE: IT'S SAINT ANTHONY'S DAY... AND THE CROATIA COACH TOOK A PHOTO HOLDING OUR FLAG! HE SHOULDN'T BE TOO SAD IF THEY LOSE FOR US... HAHAHA!
